The Breaking the Bread will turn four years old on January 1, 2013, the day of the Solemnity of Mary, the Mother of God - the birth of the first dogma of the Church on Mary, the BTB is fully guided by the mother of our Lord to flourish and journey in the apostolate for the poor.
So much to speak about the journey, the rocky and bumpy trail pursuing the compelling truth of serving the needy, the less, the unfortunate, forgotten, the unlike, - which is Christ!
Our work is the discovery of a treasure, a goldmine indeed, for in these little children is the kingdom of God, the Lord said, "do not hinder them, let them come to me", and to realize it, when you do this to the children, it is then that you had taken the spot to take them to our Lord, and to take care and filling them with constancy of Christ, they will remain in the company of the almighty.
An anniversary is the time to look back, it is to rejoice in the triumph over difficulties and adversaries in the path where failings and trials overturned, and firmness and a greater resolve in the Lord gained. The greatest threat is within, our human nature, we are consumed by our own infirmities, and sometimes lured to abandon ship, but the fact that our anniversary is the day of the Mother of God, it is with great relief and joy that we are guided and led always by our mother to her son Jesus which is eternal in happiness and comfort.
The Lord knows the deepest of the deep, our ardent prayers and supplications to administer this task, to rise and survive in our given resources of talents, strengths and time, and most of all to pass through the odds and walls we face, but confident and only trusting God, that the deepest is known to him of what we need to keep BTB moving on.
"Let the children come to me" - so we do.
God bless us all with the help of our Mother.
